Usaf Ssgt. (Ret.) Robert E. "Bob" Arnold

USAF SSgt (Ret.) Robert E. "Bob" Arnold age 87 of Fairborn passed away Tuesday September 27, 2022.  He was born January 3, 1935 in Athens, MI, the son of the late Lee and Katherin (Tiff) Arnold.  Bob served his country in the USAF as an airplane mechanic, and followed with Arnold's Auto Service, retiring after over 50 years of combined service.  He was a longtime member of the Fairborn VFW Post 6861; and enjoyed fishing, square dancing, and was an avid car buff.  Always enjoying working with his hands, He built a workshop in his basement where he and his grandkids enjoyed spending time.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Sallie; and daughter, Linda.  Bob is survive by 9 children, Brenda, David, Debbie, Nancy, Melissa, Barbara, Billy, Bobby, Susan; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; as well as extended family.  A celebration of life will be held on Saturday November 5, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.
