James Phillip Black IV, 26, formerly of Fairborn, OH, currently of Erlanger, KY, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, January 9, 2018.  He was born June 19, 1991 at WPAFB Hospital, the oldest child of Carlotta and James Black III.  He graduated from Fairborn High School in 2010 and served in the United States Army from 2010 to 2012.  James married the love of his life, Alyson Bevins on September 26, 2013.  Together they created a beautiful family with their two sons, Ayden James, and Greyson Phillip.  James will always be remembered for his infectious smile and his wonderful sense of humor.  James had a passion for football and coached for the Fairborn Wee Hawks.  James touched everyone he met.  With the twinkle in his eyes, and the smile on his face, a person felt instantly connected to James and loved him.  From staying with grandparents, aunts and uncles, and sleeping on couches or floors at his friends’ houses, he became a part of your family, and a part of your heart.  James was thrilled to begin his new career with RMH Applebee’s in November of 2017.  James’ excitement and passion for cooking were well known and he was excited to learn the operations side of a restaurant.  James leaves behind his wife, Alyson and their sons, Ayden and Greyson.  In addition, his mother Carlotta Davis, his father James Black III, sister Faith Davis, half-sister Laken Chapman and half-brother Kyle Robinson.  His grandparents Arlene Horton and Sue Cummins, James Watson, James P. Black, Jr. and Joyce Black, Bill Wood, and great grandmother, Irene Black. Special uncles, Dan Watson, Kenny Keifer and numerous aunts, uncles and extended family members on both sides.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday January 16, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, where a service of celebration in James’ honor will be held on Wednesday January 17, 2018 at 11:00 A.M.  Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.
