Thomas Dale “Tom” Hankey, age 75 of Beavercreek, (formerly Kittanning, PA; Colorado Springs, CO; Burnet County, TX) passed away peacefully, Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Kettering Health Dayton. Tom was born February 23, 1949, the son of the late Delbert Reed and Mabel Glendora (Taylor) Hankey.

After completing high school, Tom joined the U.S. Air Force, serving his country proudly. He earned a bachelor’s degree and was employed with Ampex Corp. in Colorado Springs, working in electronics for many years. Tom also created his own engraving business, designing unique and custom projects for numerous patrons. He enjoyed the outdoors, playing tennis, and watching old westerns.

In addition to his parents, Tom is preceded in death by wife, Deborah (Shane) Hankey; son, Christian Hankey; siblings, Betty Baker of Colorado Springs, Co; Robert Hankey of Kittanning, Pa; and Edward Hankey of Poland, OH. He is survived by his sisters, Doris Kline of Ford Cliff, PA; Carol (Loyal) Waud of Thomasville, NC; Shirley (Norman) Boney of Fairborn, OH; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Tom will be inurned next to his belated wife, Deborah (Shane) Hankey, in the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, Killeen, Bel County, Texas. Arrangements in care of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, Fairborn, OH.
