Joseph Burley Edwards

Joseph Burley Edwards, age 48 of New Carlisle, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday March 24, 2024.  He was born August 7, 1975 in Springfield, the son of Kenneth G. and Barbara C. (De Luca) Edwards.  

Joe was a graduate of Tecumseh High School, Class of 1994, and earned his license in massage therapy.  He had been employed with his family’s business, Edwards Roofing and Siding.  Joe was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing; and also was a huge Bigfoot enthusiast as well as anything to do with the paranormal.  He had a unique mind for creative writing and the ability to put his thoughts on paper.

Preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.  Survivors include his parents, Ken and Barb Edwards; three siblings, Rae Edwards Treherne of Englewood, Loralee Hope (Lee) Olinger of New Carlisle, Marcus Allen Edwards; nieces and nephews, Blake, Ty, Caleb, Kalib, Riley, Anthony, Mae; great-nephew, Brantley; as well as other extended family and friends.  

A funeral service will be held on Saturday March 30, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
